Arizona Company Launches IndieGoGo For The Bitcoin Card

It’s an online payment system that works via peer-to-peer exchange.  This decentralized cryptocurrency or virtual currency is called Bitcoin and was first introduced to the world in 2008.  One Scottsdale, Arizona company led by Christopher Wirth believes they can ‘change the face of currency forever’ by offering a Bitcoin Debit/Credit Card based on a private label Visa Credit Card and they’ve launched an Indiegogo campaign to get the funding to make it a reality.

According to the company, the largest obstacle Bitcoin faces today is liquidity for everyday purchases. The Bitcoin card (with additional cryptocurrency integration available) will be connected to a secure wallet.  This will enable the user to load a Bitcoin card to desired amount. Purchases made will be converted based on current market Bitcoin price much like any foreign currency. The card will have the potential to be used anywhere credit cards are accepted offering convenience and smooth checkout.

The card comes with three main components; 1. a Physical Bitcoin Debit/Credit Card which is used the same as any Visa Credit Card.  2. There is a Bitcoin Wallet with the Card limit determined by the current Bitcoin market price and Wallet balance. 3. Password protected App for checking the exchange rate, account balance and transfers. Underwriting for the Credit aspect of such venture is non-existent at this time, so for the initial launch the Bitcoin Card will operate as a Pre-load Debit/Credit Card until track record established. Credit Card functionality is expected shortly thereafter, with balance payable monthly via Bitcoin.

Angel investors helping fund the BITCOIN Credit Card campaign to the next level will be eligible for perks such as receiving the first physical Bitcoin Debit/Credit Card, T-shirts and promotional items, and most attractively – dollar for dollar Bitcoins issued to wallet upon creation for contributions.

The team also understands not everyone may be able to give money to help this project, so they ask that those who cannot give monetarily help by spreading the word about the BITCOIN Card online through social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr or record a video challenge for Vine, Facebook or Instagram to invite friends to give to or share this Indiegogo fundraiser. Include #BitcoinCard in all posts.
