Mobile phone lineups aren’t very different from the movie franchises of Hollywood. Right now, we have a pretty good inkling of what to expect in the smartphones market in this year as most of the big market players are expected to introduce the sequels of their blockbusters in 2014. We have become quite spoiled in the last year with devices such as the Nexus 6, HTC One M8, Galaxy S5, iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, but there is always more room for improvement. 2015 can turn out to be a year to remember with the new features to be expected in the upcoming smartphones. If you are looking for the latest smartphone, here are some of the options you can consider:
HTC One M9
HTC’s flagship has been unveiled and it is one of the most beautiful devices ever seen in the market. The curved metal design that became a significant feature of the HTC One M8 has been refined in this new device, giving it an even sleeker and unique look. However, its looks aren’t the only thing going for it; this latest smartphone also boasts a 20.7MP camera, 3GB of RAM and a powerful octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. Even on the software front, some changes have been made such as a location sensitive touchscreen, a new app for theme creation. The screen might be the same as its predecessor i.e. 5-inch 1080p screen, but it has made improvements in battery life.
Galaxy S6 Edge
While there is no doubt that the Galaxy S6 will be a huge seller for the South Korean smartphone maker, the real excitement is caused by the Galaxy S6 Edge. The device, one of the latest cell phones, has all the same specifications as the Galaxy S6 including the octa-core processor, the 5.1 inch QHD display, a 16MP with optical image stabilization, 3 GB of RAM, a stylish new and metal design and fast and wireless charging. However, the device gets a futuristic look because of the curved screen at both edges and it also brings some additional features. It may be expensive, but it is worth the cost because of the innovative features it includes.
iPhone 6S or iPhone 6 Mini
You can set your watch by the iPhone maker’s annual refresh and it is expected that the American manufacturer will introduce either the iPhone 6S or the iPhone 6 Mini. It is highly unlikely that major design changes will be made in 2015 so the screen and look will be similar. Nonetheless, the device is expected to boast an A9 processor, which would make it 20% more powerful, 15% smaller and 35% more efficient. It is also hoped that Apple would give the RAM a boost.
LG G4
Another latest smartphone expected in 2015 is the successor of the LG G3, which impressed everyone. The phone is expected to curve a little bit and there may also be a slight reduction in the screen size to make it easy to handle. There is also talk of a metal case and the camera is most likely 20.7MP.
