Samsung Note 10 Review: Does It Bring Something New for Samsung Lovers?

The Samsung Note 10 has indeed stolen hearts of many at its release. You may be wondering what’s exactly new about this phone. It has a 6.3-inch massive screen that feels and looks like liquid. The Samsung Note 10 may not boast all the features as the Samsung Note 10 Plus. As a “lite” version of Note 10 Plus, this flagship mobile is not only light-weighted and powerful but also has a sleek and beautiful design alongside a range of highly-requested features of today’s era.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the Note 10 is a lavish phone that many people need to show off their styling choice. Believe me; you are going to love it. Sound interesting; let me do the honor of giving a brief review of what the Note 10 is all about.

The Note 10 Design

Though the size is smaller than the Note 10 Plus, this mobile still has a large display which will attract your sight immediately. It has an amazing color-changing effect which is indeed the most dazzling element of its design. The Note 10 is available in Aura Glow, Aura Black and Aura White hence it could be easily be a suitable choice for with the “Aura” prefix.

Let’s talk about Aura Glow that you would most probably want for yourself mainly because of its spectacular rainbow spectrum reflections. Size wise, the Note 10 is quite smaller than Note 9 that released last year though it still maintains nearly the same big screen size. You will find slimmed down bezels around its screen that make it the smallest bezels one could see on a screen. The Note 10 feels and looks smaller than Samsung Galaxy Note 9 but it is really comfortable hence can be flawlessly used with just one hand.

The Note 10 does not Bixby button which was there in previous models in order to be used as a power button. That button however has turned around to be a wake/sleep button. You can press or hold the button to call upon Samsung’s voice assistant named Bixby.

The Note 10 Screen and Camera

Samsung released both the Note 10 and the Note 10 Plus at the same time. Interestingly, the Note 10 Plus comes with a rambling 6.8-inch screen size though it has almost the similar footprint we found in the Note 9. Since the company has perfectly its hands at fitting larger screens in smaller phones, creation of the Note 10 Plus shouldn’t be surprising for us. With the Note 10, on the other hand, it’s not only a pleasing but also is a welcoming addition to Samsung Galaxy Note series. It has 2,280 x1,080 screen resolution which is quite different from the screen resolution of the Note 10 Plus. Practically you would not be able to see any difference between these two handsets because of the sharpness they boast. The Note 10 maintains the same HDR10+ certified Dynamic AMOLED panel which is supremely vivid and has lots of brightness especially when you are out in the sun. It has a thinner body, big battery, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Note 10 boasts a triple camera setup on the rear and sports the same three lenses and MP Pairings as you saw in the S10. It has variables aperture f/1.5 and f/2.4 installed on the main camera. It packs top-fight camera specification though it lacks ToF time of flight.

Software Updates

Samsung is also known for keeping its hands on updating its software for phones as well as tablets on a frequent basis. Accordingly, you are more likely to come across Android 10 and Android 11 with Samsung’s new phones and devices.

The S Pen

The Note 10 comes with the S Pen and several aesthetic changes especially those beveled edges that you might not notice unless you decide to compare it with the Note 9’s S Pen. Furthermore, the stylus adds many gestures to phone’s repertoire in terms of Air Actions. Like Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, the S Pen can be hold and waved like a magic wand by switching between different camera modes and media or zooming out the camera with a circular motion.

What it included in the box?

The Note 10 comes with a charging adapter, wired headphone. There is an option of connecting your phone with Bluetooth headphones though you will need to get one for yourself. Sadly, a USB-C to dongle of 3.5mm is not a part of accessories and you only get a pair of USB-C AKG ear buds.

You may have a question popping in your mind that how you can turn the smartphone on and off if the old power button has disappeared. Don’t worry; Samsung has introduced a new software button which can be seen in the notification drawer. Also, you can go for the customization of physical sleep and wake key through settings menu. Just select the power menu from settings, press and hold it in order to effectively disable Bixby.

For many smartphone lovers, the Note 10 is the only phone they would like to use because of its compact size. It has an expandable storage. You will also find an expandable battery with a long-life and you can use it more than three years. This further means that you would start seeing a few signs of battery degradation. The Note 10 has IP68 water resistance which ensures safety because of being wrapped in durable glass though it will require you to buy yourself a case.

The Bottom Line

The Note 10 has just arrived with everything you want to see in smart device. With an appealing aura glow color, it boasts an expansive screen alongside a very compact and sleek design. You will also find this handset with a handy and seriously enhanced S Pen. It has however no support of MicroSD card and headphone jack. The Note 10 has an A-quality camera to make your day when you take amazing selfies or record videos. A day-long battery life adds another highly-requested feature to its excellence. In fact, this phone has been in headlines for being the most compact smartphone so far. Undoubtedly, the Note 10 has made many people fall in love with the design specially the size it carries.
