Hey newbies! My name is Divya Gandotra and I have been working in the content marketing industry for 8 years now. I have often seen that bloggers get scared by the mention of SEO Keywords. I once asked a client the reason behind this panic, and they told me it was due to the complications associated with keywords. They further added, “everyone in the industry knows how a wrong SEO Keyword strategy can badly impact their business’s online reputation. However, people aren’t aware of the benefits that can be achieved through successful keyword optimization. That is why they run from it.“
My client was able to say so because they have been working with my digital marketing company in Jaipur, EMIAC Technologies, for quite some time. They have seen how our SEO experts and content marketing professionals have taken their business to new heights in the digital world, just with the help of keywords.
The way I use SEO Keywords hugely depends on individual businesses and their unique requirements. Some of my clients only want to reach their audiences through guest posting, while others wish for high conversion rates from blogs. I have to plan their strategies accordingly.
Still, I can give a general process that gets followed in almost all cases to achieve successful SEO Keyword plans.
SEO Keyword Incorporating Process
I often describe keywords as the name and description of any blog. These selected words let the search engines know what exactly your blog is about and how it will benefit the readers. The process of including keywords into our content begins with finding relevant keywords.
Finding Keywords
If you want to target your audience, you will first have to think like them. So my team at EMIAC and I start by looking for relevant information on search engines like Google. We enter the basic terms that describe our blog topic. For example, we will search for “sports apparel” when our clients’ blog is about sports clothing.
By searching for this, we get two crucial elements on the same search engine result page:
- Competitor Websites: We can go through these sites and see the kind of keywords they have incorporated into their content. This task may not be possible for a general reader because SEO Keywords are added naturally into the text. But as I have been working in this domain for quite a long, I can usually spot a few primary keywords in their blogs.
- Relevant Keywords: Google shows several “related searches” to the search made by us at the bottom of the page. This provides us with some of the useful and trendy keywords.
Our SEO team at EMIAC also uses some advanced tools to find relevant keywords according to the specific blogs.
Adding Keywords
Once we come up with a set of relevant keywords, the next step is to add them to the blog. Here, I personally ensure that two essential requirements get fulfilled:
- Natural Flow: The keywords have to be added to the text naturally. As I said for the competitor websites, even our team has to ensure the reader doesn’t get to know anything about the keywords.
- No Stuffing: The negative effects of keywords are mostly seen due to stuffing. To make their blogs more visible, people end up putting up keywords too many times. I, on the other hand, guide my team to avoid keyword stuffing. This is a significant reason why our clients’ blogs get appropriate hits and don’t suffer adverse circumstances.
My main objective is to provide visible, efficient, and long-lasting results to our clients. Thus, I use the keywords accordingly.
Keeping Track
My work doesn’t end even after providing the final product to the client. My team at EMIAC has to continuously track the effectiveness of our used keywords so that we can make the alterations within time. We keep making improvements as per the efficiency exhibited by the blog. As soon as the blog gets the required traffic, we give ourselves a little rest but still keep our eyes on the potential developments.
Using Longtail Keywords
Over the years of experience, I have seen that one of the most effective ways of standing out with the help of keywords is by using longtail keywords. These are the terms that have at least three words in them. Not every blogger is able to incorporate these long words naturally into their written pieces, which makes longtail keywords unique and more productive.
For example, one of my clients wanted a blog with the keyword “buy shoes” for their sports-related website. So I preferred to use “buy affordable sports shoes” instead of the short keyword. This not only made the keyword more relevant to their website but also made it unique and useful for their potential customers. Therefore, it turned out to be more beneficial to them.
Lastly,
I want to say that SEO Keywords are nothing to worry about. Bloggers just need to opt for the correct strategy for it, and they will get visible results within no time. If bloggers don’t wish to go wrong with their SEO Keywords, they can get help from the EMIAC team. We will ensure great results for them!
