Bingo 90 Ball Guide

Bingo 90 Ball Guide

There are lots of different forms of bingo. You probably didn’t realise this, unless you happen to be a bingo aficionado, but almost every country has its own take on this most traditional of games – learn more about bingo. 90 ball bingo is the most popular form, and it’s the one played most in the UK, so it’s likely to be the one you are most familiar with and the one you think of first when anyone suggests playing bingo.

It’s a simple game to play; you buy as many bingo cards as you want to, listen or watch the balls as they are called, and mark the number off the cards. When you have a line, or a full card, you win a prize. You can play online or offline, and you can have a lot of fun doing it. Unsurprisingly given the name, you’ll find there are 90 balls in use during the game. And that’s it.

How To Win

The cards are covered randomly, and the balls are pulled randomly, so it would seem as though there is no hard and fast way to win at all. And to be honest, that’s the truth. You can’t cheat at bingo, and you certainly can’t guarantee a win. Yet there are some things you can do to ensure you can claim your prize if and when you do win something; you simply need to know the rules.

To start with, understanding that you don’t just have to have a full house (ie filling up your entire card) to win is crucial. You can win a prize by being the first player to fill one whole line, and then there is the two line prize, which is fairly self-explanatory. Plus, of course, the full house mentioned earlier. When you’re playing online, this isn’t something you need to think too much about; it’s all automatic and you can just sit back and see what happens. When you’re playing in real life, though, you’ll need to keep up with the game to ensure you mark off the numbers correctly and shout out as soon as you get a winning line or card as others might have the same numbers as you.

Tips and Strategy

It’s good to have a strategy when playing bingo, even if you can’t guarantee yourself a win from it. Understanding the rules is the first point, and we don’t just mean the standard rules of bingo. You should also check that you know the rules of wherever it is you’re playing. They might be different, and it could be important.

Don’t forget to check out any special promotions that might be running wherever you’re playing too. This can give you extra cards or money off, or you might find your deposit can be matched. If they’re there, check out the small print and then use as many as you can. It can give you much more gameplay time, and potentially better odds at winning because you might be able to play with more cards.
