One of the major accounting firms known as KPMG has announced that it is aiming to explore the metaverse. It is part of the Big Four account firms with immense popularity and following from the United States and Canada.
KPMG’s Investors in Metaverse
The reports confirm that KPMG is planning to open up a collaboration hub for the first time in the metaverse sector. According to the KPMG executives, their aim is to gain exposure to the digital era. They want to do it not only for themselves but also for their clients and employees.
The firm doesn’t want to stay confined to accounting-related services in the real world. Instead, it wants to acquire a lot of ground for accounting, be it in the cryptocurrency industry or metaverse.
A New Collaboration Hub for the Masses
With the creation of a collaboration hub, they want to offer a platform to anyone who interacts with their services. They want everyone on their platform including clients, employees, and even others to connect through their metaverse hub, available through Web3 technology.
The firm has announced that it wants to do things its own way, which is to make the space more advanced and affordable for the users. They want to offer as much convenience to everyone as possible. For this purpose, KPMG has announced that it will be investing $30 million in the growth of the metaverse and Web3 technology.
The Collaboration Hub’s Purpose
Once the collaboration hub is fully formed, it will be focusing on different spaces. Some of the major spaces they will focus on initially include workshops, events, training, collaboration, and education. Such spaces and sessions will be covered by Cliff Justice.
KPMG revealed that for now, their focus is on these specific services but they will expand the network in near future. They will hire more people with enough knowledge in the metaverse, Web3, and other cryptographic skills/expertise to introduce more utilities.
Future Use Cases by KPMG in the Metaverse
According to KPMG, they already know what other spaces and industries they would like to target in near future. Their objective is to target spaces such as financial, media, retail, consumer, healthcare, and many more services.
They will introduce all these utilities within the metaverse and see how things work out. What matters to them is how many of their clients and employees are willing to interact with the particular spaces.
With KPMG getting into the Metaverse, things have started to look bright for the DeFi and the metaverse sectors. This is because KPMG will be using these technologies for the institutional purposes that are bound to bring in mainstream audiences to the spaces.
KPMG has very prominent clients apart from the common or medium-level clients. With KPMG entering the metaverse, it will be a positive indication for the clients to interact with the particular space as well. This would increase the demand for the metaverse and decentralized finance industry.
As a result, the prices and valuations of the assets within these assets would grow at significant rates.
